I met the Florida couple in the lobby of the Melrose Mansion and took portraits around the hotel before heading out to the front porch to tie the knot. Kathleen and Patrick hired a saxophone player to play before and after the ceremony, which was greeted by many congratulations from passer-by’s on the iconic Esplanade Boulevard that runs across New Orleans from the Mississippi River in the French Quarter to City Park in Mid-City.
After the ceremony, we went inside to cut the cake and toast champagne. The couple then headed out to the French Quarter to capture their newlywed celebrations, picking up fun masks and umbrellas along the way. They paraded in their own intimate second line as the sun set, and we ended the evening at the infamous Buffa’s for their newlywed portraits — officially husband and wife!
